That’s why, we’re looking for ambitious people like yourself to join the team.**A day in the life**As a Data Governance Analyst, your day will be about keeping our data organised, accurate, and compliant so the business can move forward with confidence. You’ll spend time maintaining relevant and appropriate metadata using the data dictionary, making sure private information is tagged and masked and, more broadly, educating and encouraging stakeholders to integrated data governance practices into their daily work.You’ll follow up with colleagues in Risk, Security, Legal or Regulatory Affairs to confirm data governance, security and regulatory requirements are adhered to when new projects and initiatives are set up.Some days you’ll prepare evidence for our upcoming ISO 27001 audit, other days you’ll help compare and test cataloguing or privacy tools to see which best fit our needs. It’s a varied role where you’ll make a visible impact, support a collaborative team, and keep things running smoothly while a valued colleague is on parental leave.We’re open to flexibility, so if part time is more suitable, let’s chat.**About the role**The role is a 12 month parental leave coverThis role exists to make sure PEXA’s data is accurate, well-managed, and meets our compliance obligations in both Australia and the UK. It’s about applying good governance practices day-to-day - from cataloguing and tagging data, to supporting privacy requirements, to monitor and maintain data quality, to making sure ownership is clearly recorded.**Key capabilities we’re looking for:**· Attention to detail in data management - confident working with data dictionaries, tagging, and masking processes.· Understanding of governance and compliance requirements that PEXA Group operates in - able to apply concepts from legislation like GDPR , Model Operating Requirements, AU Privacy Act in practical ways that support our global business.· Collaboration skills - comfortable working with Risk, Security, Legal, and business teams to get the right outcomes.· Curiosity and adaptability - open to learning new tools and approaches, from cataloguing platforms to emerging AI governance practices.**What success looks like in the first 6–12 months:**· Evidence prepared and organised for ISO 27001 audit.· Data management risk is kept within risk appetite.· New datasets are tagged, catalogued, and owned by the right people· New data governance tooling assessments are supported and documented· GDPR requirements supported effectively for the UK business· Smooth transition and continuity of work during the parental leave period.*(We encourage you to apply even if you don’t tick every box, we know potential comes in many forms.)***A career at PEXA starts with you**If you think you have the required skills, an appetite to learn and would be a great fit, we’d love to hear from you – even if you don’t tick all the boxes.
