Overview
Allygroup is seeking senior legal, policy, or employment law professionals to support federal government clients. Roles involve high-level policy development, governance, and litigation support across various departments and locations in Australia. Some opportunities may be short-term secondments with potential extensions.
Key Responsibilities
- Policy Development: Draft amendments to internal policies relating to conflicts of interest and the acceptance of gifts, benefits, and hospitality, aligning with best practice and governance outcomes.
- Stakeholder Coordination: Lead cross-divisional working groups to facilitate policy development and secure endorsement from policy owners.
- Assurance Framework Design: Collaborate with finance and governance teams to design assurance frameworks assessing compliance with conflict of interest requirements and the effectiveness of arrangements for employees and contractors.
- Governance and Reporting: Define objectives, assurance activities, timelines, responsibilities, and robust governance and reporting mechanisms.
- Briefing Preparation: Produce briefing materials to support endorsements and implementation of policy updates and assurance frameworks.
