Apply now Job no: 497508 Work type: Part time Location: Northern Suburbs Categories: Day Club Assistant Overview The role of Kitchen Hand is to ensure the safe preparation, storage, and service of all food items within the Day Club environment. This includes working collaboratively with staff and clients, under the guidance of the Day Club Manager. The Kitchen Hand must ensure client meals comply with regulatory food safety standards and meet nutrition and presentation requirements. This position is being offered on a Part time basis, working 40 hours a fortnight at our Club Catherine King in Osborne Park. The roster is from 9:30am to 1:30pm, Monday to Friday. Join us in making a difference Key responsibilities Food and Drink preparation and storage: - Receives and stores meals from provider on a weekly basis - Prepares daily morning tea for clients in line with regulatory food safety standards and with a focus on nutrition and presentation - Prepares and plates client lunches in line with regulatory food safety standards and with a focus on nutrition and presentation Client and staff relationships: - Maintains effective interpersonal relationships with others, utilizing appropriate channels for assistance, guidance and concerns - The service provided to each client will be professional and in line with Amana Living’s operating policies and procedures. - Confidentially performs the role having enhanced and maintained professional development through participation in compulsory training, workplace meetings and other performance improvement initiatives. About you The ideal candidate will have experience or knowledge of roles within the aged care sector. They should demonstrate professionalism in all interactions, fostering respectful and courteous relationships with clients, their families, and colleagues, while also being mindful of client lifestyles and personal preferences. - Evidence of COVID-19 and Current 2024 Flu vaccinations per Amana Living policies - Ability to obtain a National Police Clearance (within 6-months validity) - Successful completion of pre-employment form and reference checks - Relevant certificate in cooking / food preparation - Previous kitchen / food preparation experience within aged care or similar industry How to apply If you are interested in this role and meet the essential criteria, please click the "apply now" button.
