The role This role leads a team to shape and deliver major policy reforms and strategic initiatives that drive better outcomes for NSW. It involves analysing complex issues, developing evidence-based solutions, and providing expert advice to senior executives and ministers. With a focus on due diligence, compliance, and probity, the role ensures that policies and programs are grounded in sound analysis and implemented effectively to achieve long-term results. Success in this role requires strong leadership, strategic insight, and the ability to navigate complex political and policy environments. Project management skills and attention to detail is essential. Building trusted relationships with senior stakeholders, challenging conventional approaches, and maintaining a whole-of-government perspective are key to delivering innovative, practical, and forward-looking policy outcomes. Understanding of property and government priorities for strategic outcomes. - Skilled at engaging, consulting, and negotiating with senior executives, ministers, and cross‑sector stakeholders to build consensus and deliver whole-of-government solutions. - Demonstrated experience leading and mentoring high‑performing teams to deliver quality outcomes under tight timeframes and in politically sensitive environments. - Deep understanding of governance, compliance, and probity principles, with a focus on ensuring transparency, accountability, and continuous enhancement.
