About Our Client
This government-established organisation provides trust and fiduciary services to the public. Its primary role is to provide essential support, services, advocacy and information to Queenslanders relating to financial and trust administration.
Job Description
Within this role you will be responsible for the following;
- Develop, review, and implement policies to align with organisational objectives.
- Provide expert advice on policy matters to internal and external stakeholders.
- Lead consultations and collaborations with stakeholders to ensure policy alignment.
- Conduct research and analysis to support evidence-based policy development.
- Prepare comprehensive reports, submissions, and briefing notes.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of implemented policies.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory frameworks and organisational standards.
- Mentor and guide junior team members in policy-related tasks.
The Successful Applicant
A successful Principal Policy Officer should have:
- Demonstrated experience in policy development and implementation.
- Strong analytical and research skills to support evidence-based decision-making.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities.
- Proven ability to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Knowledge of regulatory frameworks relevant to professional services.
- Tertiary qualifications in public policy, law, or a related field.
- Strong project management and organisational skills
