About The Salt Foundation

The Salt Foundation is a not-for-profit Christian charity established in 2011, providing integral support services to people living with disabilities. It is a registered NDIS provider with a history of programs that promote physical, social, and mental well-being for individuals, families, and communities. As a not-for-profit charity, all proceeds go back into the community.

Over the last 10 years the Salt Foundation has donated proceeds to support those who are most valuable and disadvantaged in our community, locally and abroad. When you work with The Salt Foundation you become part of a wider community making a real difference in people’s lives.

About the Role

We have several vacancies available throughout Melbourne for experienced Disability Support Workers. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a supportive team in providing home and community access. You will play a vital role in supporting our participants to pursue their interests, develop new skills, achieve lifestyle goals, and be valued as equal members in the community. Your role may involve providing assistance with all aspects of daily living including meals, personal care, assistance with everyday household tasks and meaningful engagement within home and community environments.

- Clear and effective communications skills
- Attention to detail and accuracy in record management
- Initiative and self-motivation
- A positive and professional approach
- Flexibility and availability is essential in this role, with the ability to work a variety of shifts, morning, day and afternoon
- Relevant qualifications are highly desirable; however, someone with the right attitude and willingness to learn will be considered

- Current Victorian Driver's Licence
- Current First Aid and CPR Certificates
- Victorian Working with Children Check
- Access to a personal motor vehicle
