Overview

We are urgently seeking your previous aligned experience for an upcoming temporary assignment with Qld Government (starting asap – with possible extension).

This role will focus on:

Drafting and Standardising Position Descriptions – Collaborate with stakeholders to develop clear, consistent, and fit-for-purpose role descriptions across the organisation.

Completing JEMS Questionnaires – Apply your knowledge of the Queensland Government’s Job Evaluation Management System (JEMS) methodology to accurately assess and document roles.

Preparing Business Cases for Classification Approvals – Develop evidence-based business cases to support classification decisions and approvals.

We are seeking availability to work Monday to Friday and the temporary assignment will be based at South Brisbane. The casual hourly rate is $85.31 (plus superannuation).

To be considered, you should demonstrate:

- Previous experience and strong capability in drafting/reviewing position descriptions and classification business cases

- Demonstrated experience in the Queensland Government JEMS process or previous Queensland Government HR/Classification experience highly desirable

- Ability to work quickly, accurately, and independently with minimal oversight

- Extensive stakeholder engagement skills and experience

- Critical analysis and problem solving skills

- Exceptional written communication
