The Western Cape College is a unique state school with two campuses located in Mapoon (P-6), and Weipa (P-12), as well as a secondary residential facility also located in Weipa. Each Campus is set in its own amazing cultural, social and geographical environment, spread over a vast area of the Cape York Peninsula in Far North Queensland.

About the Role

As a member of the Secondary leadership team the Deputy Principal has a pivotal role leading our 7-12 improvement agenda, including curriculum, moderation and student case management. This role encompasses the line management of middle leaders, teachers and support staff.

Your Responsibilities

As the Deputy Principal, your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

• Assist the Secondary Principal to lead the school community to develop, articulate and commit to a shared educational vision focussed on providing quality learning outcomes for all students.
• Deputise for the Secondary Principal when required.
• Uphold the deputy principalship as a values based, ethical and moral activity.
• Embed socially just practices in daily school life.
