About the role

Mater Private Hospital Rockhampton is seeking a Hospitality Services Assistant to join the team on a casual basis with availability across a 7‑day roster. You will be responsible for providing effective and efficient support services to our clients.

The successful Hospitality Services Assistant candidate will be required to be available to work between the hours of 4.30am to 8.30pm across a 7‑day roster. Flexibility to work a wide range of shifts is essential.

What you'll be doing

This is a fantastic opportunity to join our friendly hospitality team providing compassionate care to the local community. The Hospitality Services Assistant will contribute to the delivery of effective cleaning and hygiene services to delegated areas of the Hospital and prepare, assemble, and deliver patient meals.

Shifts are available across a 7-day week and the ideal candidate is flexible with work times.

We are ideally looking for candidates that have:

- Previous experience in a hospital or hotel cleaning/good services role

- Previous experience as a kitchen hand

- Ability to work as a member of a multi‑disciplinary team

- Knowledge of current food hygiene principles, practices, and legislation

- Ability to work in a physically demanding job

- Ability to recognise and prioritise tasks effectively

- Ability to engage with a variety of people
