JBS Australia is seeking a strategic and commercially driven leader to take on the role of Head of Small Sales – Southern, overseeing lamb, mutton, and goat sales across domestic and international markets.
This is a pivotal leadership opportunity for someone with deep industry knowledge, strong stakeholder relationships, and a passion for driving growth through collaboration, innovation, and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and inspire the smalls sales team across the Southern Division
- Develop and manage strategic relationships with major retailers
- Collaborate cross-functionally with livestock, operations, marketing, and product development teams
- Drive sales planning, execution, and performance aligned with business strategy
- Manage inventory and optimise revenue through product innovation and market alignment
- Expand market reach through customer acquisition and tailored product offerings
- Contribute to strategic planning and provide insights using data analytics and market trends
- Represent JBS in stakeholder engagements and industry forums
What You Will Bring to the Table
- 10+ years’ experience in sales leadership, preferably in the meat or FMCG industry
- Proven track record in managing teams and delivering revenue growth
- Strong commercial acumen and negotiation skills
- Deep understanding of lamb, mutton, and goat markets
- Strategic thinker with hands‑on execution capability
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Proficiency in CRM and sales analytics tools
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, or related field (MBA preferred)
