About the Opportunity

The Coordinator Clinical Equipment and Consumables is a member of the Clinical Practice team within Clinical Capability, Safety and Quality. The Coordinator is a primary contact between Clinical Capability, Safety and Quality, Clinical Operations, Medical Equipment Management Unit (MEMU), Assets and Infrastructure, HealthShare, and external suppliers of clinical equipment and consumables.

Responsibilities

The Coordinator supports several system wide activities that relate to clinical equipment and consumables, including:

- Monitoring the IMS+ system for trends and notifications relevant to clinical equipment and consumables, documenting all relevant IMS notifications and providing advice to managers as required.

- Monitoring and acting on Therapeutic Goods Administration notices.

- Monitoring and actioning of stock availability and replacements.

- Attendance at Product Manager meetings and workgroups.

- Participation in State Contract Evaluations.

- Identification and assessment of clinical equipment and consumables to determine they are fit for purpose, including facilitation of clinical review and field trials as required.

- Managing and updating Vehicle Equipment Checklists.

- Project management and production of briefing notes for senior managers.

- Supporting the function of the Clinical Equipment Sub Committee.

- Identification of cost efficiencies related to clinical equipment and consumables.

The position holder is required to communicate effectively with key stakeholders who are internal and external to NSW Ambulance. The position holder must be able to perform work of a high standard while working independently. The position holder is required prioritise workload to meet pressing needs as they arise.

About You

The role of the coordinator clinical equipment and consumables policies is fast paced and challenging. To succeed in this role you need to:

- Ideally have recent experience in product management, inventory management and procurement within NSW Health.

- Proven communication skills using negotiation and interpersonal skills.

- Possess strong technical, written and verbal communication skills.

- Have demonstrated experience working within a complex organisation or government environment.

- A history of stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build and maintain collaborative relationships.

- Be highly organised with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines.

- Be a proactive, strategic thinker with a positive and adaptable approach.

- Be organised and be able to develop process to manage multiple priorities where time constraints apply.

- Are tech savvy enough to use multiple software systems.
