We have an exciting opportunity for a clinical practitioner to provide therapeutic support at the Medicare Mental Health Centre servicing Muswellbrook, Singleton and Scone. Medicare Mental Health Centre offers a free mental health support service for people aged 18+ experiencing distress and provides a welcoming entry point for engagement, assessment, care planning and coordination and recovery-oriented interventions. This program is funded by the Commonwealth Government to 30 June 2026.

This role gives you an opportunity to:

Job Description

This role offers flexible working hours across the Medicare Mental Health Centre operating hours, which are:

- Monday to Friday 9am to 8pm.
- Saturday & Sunday 12pm to 4pm

The successful candidate will have:

- Tertiary qualifications in psychology, mental health nursing or social work (with mental health accreditation) and current (provisional) registration with AHPRA or AASW.
- At least 2 years demonstrated supervised experience in the area of mental health
- Knowledge and experience in the provision of evidence based therapeutic services and ability to apply a trauma-informed and person-centred approach within a recovery-oriented framework.
- Experience participating in and actively contributing to multiservice case review meetings with psychologists, psychiatrists, allied health professionals, local health district staff and other relevant government and non-government organisations.
- Excellent relationship, negotiation and conflict management skills with a proven ability to develop and maintain strong and effective relationships with service providers, staff, peers and key stakeholders in the local community
- Experience in implementing and monitoring of quality assurance processes across customer service programs, including feedback informed treatment, program review and risk management.
