A day in the life of a Residential Accommodation Disability Support Worker at Yooralla

Responsibilities include supporting clients with daily living activities, assisting with shopping, appointments and events, helping with personal care needs such as meal preparation, personal hygiene and mobility, and working to help clients achieve their goals.

- willingness to empower clients to reach their goals and uphold quality and safeguards
- effective communication skills and good English literacy
- ability to work collaboratively in a diverse team
- experience in manual handling
- willingness to support clients with personal care activities
- Australian Driver Licence
- the right to work in Australia
- the ability to obtain a First Aid and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation certificate if you don’t already have one

A Certificate IV in Disability, relevant work experience or an interest in community services would be great. If not, Yooralla provides training and support and can assist you to work and study. You may have transferable skills to bring to the role.

You will be subject to NDIS Worker Screening Check.
