Applications are invited for the position of:

An opportunity exists for an enthusiastic and experienced person to join the Shire of Moora as the Emergency Services Manager. Applicants will ideally have previous emergency management experience, with the ability to provide an effective and efficient delivery of Emergency Services to the Shire of Moora.

Key components of this role include the provision of volunteer support, emergency management planning, supervision of financial reporting, professional and courteous community liaison, maintaining fire control, undertaking general inspection patrols, and attending to relevant administration requirements.

- Experience in Fire and Emergency Services Industry.
- Knowledge and understanding of firefighting infrastructure and equipment.
- Knowledge of procedures in relation to Emergency Services activities.
- Developed leadership and management.
- Developed financial, reporting, administrative and computer skills.
- Highly developed written and verbal communication skills.
- Extensive understanding of WHS regulations.
- Relocation to Moora as soon as possible.
- Recognised qualification in Emergency Services
- Knowledge of Council operations

Employment is contingent upon:

- Provision of a current satisfactory National Police Clearance
- A Pre-Employment Medical Assessment including Drug & Alcohol Testing
