About this opportunity
Yarra Trams requires a Technician OCMS Datacentre and Network to provide technical services to improve and deliver a secure, stable, efficient ICT Network and Phone services consisting of LAN, WAN, Wireless, Firewall and Telephony technologies including Datacentre Administration and Maintenance. Reporting to the Technical Services Manager this role involves:
Delivery of the following services in accordance with Service Level Agreement:
- Networks (Firewall, Wifi, LAN, WAN & Fibre, Load Balancers) Service
- Telephony (PABX, VOIP, Mobile, Smart Phones) Service
- Managed Rack (Datacentre) Service
- Building Access Service
- Ensuring services are secure from attacks, external threats and virus.
- Maintaining and develop architecture diagrams and as built’s for assets (including updated to Asset Register)
- Performing health checks, maintenance tasks (including patching and regular Firmware upgradation’s) as defined in the Support Document/Technical Maintenance Plan to ensure assets are that performing to the correct service levels
- Performing after hours support as required (Major incident only)
- The ability to be on an 24x7 After Hours On Call Roster
- Performing DR - Disaster Recovery and service continuity testing and maintain applicable DR documentation
About you
Ideally you will have:
- Tertiary qualifications in Information Technology and/or significant proven experience, relevant to this discipline.
- Experience establishing robust network, telephone environments system configuration; system installation; defining, documenting, and enforcing system maintenance, optimisation and support standards.
- Qualification to industry standard. Must have CCNP – Certified Cisco Network Professional qualifications
- Knowledge of Microsoft enterprise computing.
- Sound understanding and experience of adoption and implementation of ITIL(Information Technology Infrastructure Languages) practices (V3 preferred, preferably practitioner certification)
- Expert knowledge and experience of maintaining Datacentres,
- Expert knowledge in security networks, Firewalls, Servers, Wireless Technologies, Secure Authentication with Profiling and Load Balancing
