A growing Managed Service Provider in Melbourne's South-East requires an Infrastructure & Datacentre Engineer for a permanent opportunity commencing ASAP. Your new role

Within this challenging and rewarding position, you will be responsible for:

  • Administering and maintaining Windows & Linux servers.
  • Managing patching, updates, system performance and security hardening.
  • Deploying, configuring and maintaining servers, storage arrays and network infrastructure.
  • Handling rack/stack, cabling, power distribution and hardware lifecycle management.
  • Building, configuring and maintaining VMware vSphere, vCenter and ESXi environments.
  • Integrating virtual networking (vSwitches, VLANs) and storage.
  • Collaborating with network, security and DevOps teams to ensure seamless infrastructure integration.

What you'll need to succeed

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Demonstrated experience in datacentre engineering and systems administration.
  • Strong knowledge of VMware (vSphere, vCenter, ESXi) and Windows & Linux Servers.
  • Experience with Active Directory, Office 365, Exchange, Azure and Automation / Scripting (PowerShell) preferred.
  • A tertiary education in Information Technology as well as VMware, Microsoft, Azure and Cisco certifications are beneficial.
  • Prior experience working within a Managed Service Provider or Consultancy.
