Task & Responsibilities

Key Duties and Responsibilities

- Prepare and analyse management reports on costs, budgets, and financial performance.
- Develop budgeting and forecasting models and monitor variances against actual results.
- Conduct cost analysis and identify opportunities for cost reduction and efficiency improvement.
- Provide financial insights and advice to assist management in strategic planning and decision-making.
- Prepare monthly and quarterly management accounts and performance dashboards.
- Support business planning processes by modelling financial scenarios and profitability projections.
- Review and recommend improvements to financial controls, procedures, and systems.
- Collaborate with operational teams to set KPIs and monitor progress against financial targets.
- Liaise with external accountants and auditors to ensure accuracy and compliance of financial data.

Qualification & Experience

Skills and Experience Required

- Bachelor’s degree or higher qualification in Accounting, Commerce, Finance or a related discipline.
- Minimum of three (3) years of relevant full-time experience as a Management Accountant or closely related occupation.
- Demonstrated ability to prepare and interpret management reports and financial analysis.
- Strong understanding of cost accounting, budgeting methods and variance analysis.
- Proficiency in accounting and reporting software (e.g. MYOB, Xero, QuickBooks, or Excel modelling).
- Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
- Proven ability to work independently and deliver to tight deadlines.
