As our café continues to grow, we are looking for an experienced and passionate Cook to join our kitchen team and contribute to our ongoing success.

Location: 1 Lim Way, Aintree VIC 3336
Position: Cook – Full-Time
Salary: $76,000 – $78,000 + Superannuation

About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Cook to prepare, cook, and present high-quality dishes in line with our café’s standards. This role requires a balance of creativity, efficiency, and attention to detail to ensure every meal leaving the kitchen exceeds expectations.

Key Responsibilities
1. Prepare and cook breakfast, lunch, and special menu items according to recipes and portion standards.
2. Ensure consistency in taste, quality, and presentation across all menu items.
3. Check the freshness and quality of ingredients before use.
4. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of kitchen areas in accordance with food safety and hygiene regulations.
5. Assist in menu planning, daily specials, and seasonal updates.
6. Monitor stock levels, order supplies, and minimise food wastage.
7. Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.
8. Supervise and support junior kitchen staff when required.
9. Comply with WHS and food handling regulations at all times.
10. Work collaboratively with the front-of-house team to ensure smooth service.

Skills & Experience
1. Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or equivalent qualification.
2. Minimum 1-2 years’ experience as a Cook in a café, restaurant, or similar setting.
3. Sound knowledge of modern café-style cuisine and food presentation.
4. Strong understanding of kitchen hygiene and WHS regulations.
5. Ability to work under pressure during busy service periods.
6. Excellent teamwork, time management, and communication skills.
7. Positive attitude and passion for delivering an exceptional food experience.
