Boroondara is changing. We are implementing a major business transformation to become a truly customer-centric organisation through technology, innovation, collaboration and leadership. This realignment aims to enhance the customer experience.

About the role

Reporting to the Team Leader - Customer Connect, you will play an integral part in our transformation journey by providing high quality services and support for our community. You will be the first point of contact for community members visiting Council offices in person or contacting Council by telephone, email, and social media. You will accurately capture queries, requests and issues and facilitate their efficient resolution. While you will work across a minimum of two channels, your primary focus will be phone-based; we are seeking strong communicators who enjoy helping people and solving problems in a contemporary contact centre environment. You will be supported in ongoing learning and development in a fast-paced environment that prioritises the customer at the centre of everything we do.

Key responsibilities

- Serve as the first point of contact for community members via phone, email, and social media.
- Accurately capture queries, requests and issues and facilitate resolution.
- Provide high quality customer service in a transformation-focused environment.
