Job Description: Pharmacy Manager at Brighton Hospital | Permanent | Full Time, Up to £65,000 per annum dependent on experience, 37.5 hours per week.
Main Duties
Provide leadership and advice on medicines management, ensuring safe, cost-effective, and legal processes across clinical departments. Provide expert clinical input into oncology treatment pathways and medicines optimisation. Lead, motivate, and manage the pharmacy team, and optimise antimicrobial management to minimise hospital-acquired infections.
- Chair the Medicines Management Forum quarterly.

- Ensure pharmacy team undertakes daily ward rounds, reconciling medication and counselling patients.

Job Responsibilities
As a Pharmacy Manager, you will provide leadership and advice on medicines management, ensure adherence to medicines optimisation policies, and provide oversight of pharmaceutical stock procurement. You will have a key role in delivering high-quality clinical care and advice to patients and teams across various departments.

- Lead on implementation of medication safety alerts and drug recalls.
- Implement and monitor DoH guidance on controlled drugs use.

Person Specification
To be successful, you will have:
- Registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council.
- Postgraduate qualification in clinical pharmacy or oncology.
- Significant oncology pharmacy experience.
- Experience working in a clinical setting as a Pharmacist.
- Leadership/managerial experience in a Pharmacy setting.
- Awareness and knowledge of Oncology Pharmacy.
- Strong communication skills.
- Passion to deliver excellent care in a challenging environment.
