Your new role - Import Airfreight Specialist

We are looking for an energetic and motivated Import Airfreight Specialist to manage national import airfreight solutions. This Brisbane-based role is perfect for someone with airfreight experience who is ready to take ownership of results and succeed in a fast-paced environment.

The Import Airfreight Specialist is responsible and accountable for the following:

- Managing national air import operations, delivering seamless, end-to-end solutions for key customers.
- Executing on daily operational deliverables, including coordination with strategic partners, liaising with our internal customs department, arranging and tracking cartage, and completing job billing.
- Serving as a primary contact with customers, carriers, service providers, and overseas partners.
- Ensuring exceptional customer satisfaction through proactive communication, rapid problem-solving, and consistent follow-up.
- Ensuring full compliance with international trade regulations and domestic regulatory requirements.
- Proactively resolving shipment issues, escalating when necessary to maintain on-time performance.
- Building and maintaining strong, professional relationships with customers and suppliers.
- Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives to enhance service quality and operational efficiency.

What you'll need to succeed

- Minimum 3 years’ experience in international freight forwarding, with a proven track record in airfreight operations.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Import Airfreight Specialist experience.
- Great communication skills.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Proven organisational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Experience with CargoWise (CW1) is an advantage.
- A proactive, “can-do” attitude with a drive to deliver results and grow within the role.
