Are you a detail-driven professional with experience in infrastructure delivery, strong commercial awareness and an ability to keep track on the status of a large portfolio of projects? If so, our Queensland Water Group is seeking a Contract Administrator to join our growing team in the Gold Coast. Our office is based in the beautiful Carrara, however you will mostly be required to work in our client’s office in Bundall.

The role

As a Contract Administrator, you’ll be the backbone of our project delivery team on the Gold Coast —ensuring projects are on track, our reporting is accurate and up to date, and our stakeholders are aligned. You’ll work closely with project managers, engineers and clients to make sure we are successful in the delivery of a large portfolio of projects. In this role your responsibilities will include:

- Coordinating and managing regular project status reporting (current status, financials, earned value, schedule, etc) across a large portfolio of capital projects.

- Maintain comprehensive and up-to-date records of contract variations, delays, claims, extensions of time, and payment schedules to support accurate reporting.

- Foster strong, collaborative relationships with our client, subcontractors and suppliers to ensure smooth and timely project delivery.

- Contribute to integrated reporting processes by providing insights on project progress, performance metrics, and cost tracking.

- Work closely with our project managers, engineers and scientists across the full lifecycle of project delivery coordinating and driving timely scoping, approval, change management, claims handling, payment processing, and contract close-out.

- Taking ownership and responsibility for costs and budget outcomes and having current knowledge of all aspects of the project’s financial position and schedule at any point in time.

- Ensure strict adherence to head contract obligations, safeguarding the project’s financial and commercial interests.

- Continuous improvement of reporting tools and templates.

- Onboarding of new team members and inductions / training.

About you

- At least 5 years’ experience as a Contract Administrator working in infrastructure delivery.

- A natural problem solver who thrives on managing complexity, building relationships, and delivering results.

- Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.

- A proactive mindset with a focus on safety, quality, and team collaboration.

- Proven negotiation and problem-solving skills, with the ability to resolve issues effectively.

- Be able to commit to working in the office / client office 3 to 4 days per week.

- Previous experience in dashboards such as Microsoft Power BI will be highly regarded.

- Previous experience in a consulting type environment or with water infrastructure will be highly regarded.
