About the Role

Copper South Australia is an exciting place to be right now as we reshape our Procurement portfolio to unlock BHP’s global growth strategy in copper and create a generational change across the Asset.

We are seeking an energetic, talented and motivated people leader to join the Copper South Australia Procurement team in the role of Manager, NPI & Logistics, reporting to the Head of Procurement.

Accountabilities

- People leadership: Lead and develop a team of procurement professionals to deliver against a set of ambitious targets as we shape the future of BHP.

- Procurement strategy development: Develop regional procurement strategies that maximise value for our customers and differentiate BHP from its competitors globally.

- Contract development and negotiation: Development and negotiation of major commercial agreements to support the group strategy for copper.

- Category management: Work in partnership with key suppliers and customers to leverage value opportunities in the category whilst maintaining a disciplined and considered approach to cash preservation.

About You

- 10+ years’ experience in Procurement or related commercial roles.

- Strong ability to influence senior decision makers and operational teams.

- Leading an inclusive, high‑performing team, with a strong focus on employee development and values.

- Strong commercial acumen, demonstrating the ability to identify and embed innovative commercial models and solutions.

- Great collaboration and problem‑solving skills.

- Experience in strategic decision making and sound understanding of category value levers.
