About the Role

Reporting to the National Major Account Manager you will be based at our Sydney depot. Your intricate market knowledge will see you overcome customer challenges to create the best customer service experience for our major accounts. Your innovative solutions will build meaningful, mutually beneficial professional relationships. You will also grow your customer portfolio through market research and competitor analysis.

Your Duties Include

- Manage the Major Account customer experience;
- Lead key members of the Account Management team to achieve both sales and operational outcomes;
- Manage existing contracts with a focus on growing customer service offerings;
- Negotiate on contractual terms;
- Identify, explore and build business opportunities in new and existing markets;
- Meet and exceed sales targets and KPI’s; and
- Actively review and report on competitor activity and industry trends.

To Be Considered for This Role

- Previous experience in a Sales/Account Management role ideally in the Transport and Logistics Industry;
- Experience in selling a service as opposed to a product, favourable;
- Proven history of identifying, developing and establishing key relationships, ideally in the transport, logistics and /or warehousing industries;
- Sound business acumen with an advanced understanding of the freight industry;
- Demonstrated ability to provide strategic solutions for complex challenges;
- Advanced skills in negotiation, influencing, persuasion and conflict resolution within a sales environment;
- Proven successful achievement of sales targets;
- Excellent presentation skills with the ability to deliver high-impact proposals to a diverse audience;
- Integrity, trustworthiness, professionalism and a customer-centric approach to problem solving;
- Excellent time management skills coupled with resilience and adaptability;
- Excellent language, literacy, numeracy and communication skills; and
- Advanced levels of proficiency with Microsoft Office suite and experience with in house CRM software packages.
