Full Time - Painting Trades Worker Truganina, VIC

Location: Truganina, Australia. Sector: Building & Construction. Salary: $80,000.00 to $85,000.00 per annum

5 Rivers Painting Pty Ltd is seeking a qualified and experienced Painting Trades Worker to join our team. This role involves preparing surfaces, mixing and applying paints, and delivering high-quality finishes on residential projects across various sites.

Salary of $80,000 + super for this full-time position.

Tasks and Responsibilities

Tasks and Responsibilities:

- Assemble scaffolding and ladders and position protective coverings to safeguard surrounding surfaces from paint and material splatter.
- Prepare surfaces by stripping old paint or wallpaper, repairing timberwork, filling cracks and holes, and smoothing/sealing surfaces in readiness for painting.
- Mix and prepare paints to specified colours by combining pigments, oils, and appropriate thinning or drying agents.
- Apply paints, stains, and varnishes to a variety of surfaces using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment.
- Install wallpaper, ensuring accurate pattern alignment and trimming for clean edges.
- Maintain cleanliness of tools, equipment, and workspaces after job completion.
- May carry out minor window repairs, including replacing glass in timber or metal frames.
- May be involved in laying and repairing wall and floor tiles as required.
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment and comply with OH&S regulations.

Qualifications and Experience

Qualifications:

- Minimum of a Certificate III in Painting and Decorating (or equivalent qualification).

Experience Requirement:

- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience as a Painting Trades Worker.

Essential Skills and Requirements:

- Strong knowledge of painting materials, techniques, and safety standards.
- High attention to detail with excellent finishing skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication skills.
- Current driver’s licence preferred.
