The Role

As the Full-Time Chef, you will be the heart of our kitchen, responsible for leading culinary operations and delivering high-quality dishes that reflect the fresh, bold, and creative style of Cabana Cafe and Bistro.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Hire, lead, roster, and supervise kitchen staff to ensure smooth daily operations. Prepare, cook, and present breakfast and lunch dishes to the highest standard. Create, plan, and update menus with a focus on creativity, quality, and seasonal ingredients. Manage food budgets, costing, and monitor stock levels to optimize profitability. Oversee inventory management, ordering, and reducing food waste. Ensure strict adherence to food safety, hygiene, and quality standards. Mentor and develop kitchen staff, fostering a collaborative and efficient team environment.

What We're Looking For

  • Trade-qualified (Certificate IV in Culinary or equivalent) with proven experience as a Chef Strong knowledge of fresh ingredients and modern cooking techniques Excellent time management and ability to thrive in a fast-paced kitchen Team player with leadership and communication skills Passionate about food and delivering exceptional dining experiences
