Operations Manager – Perth, WA

The Opportunity

Due to significant growth within our Healthcare division, we are seeking an experienced Operations Manager to join our facility in Perth, WA.

The role of Operations Manager is to supervise the daily operations of the warehouse and associated distribution activities so that people and equipment are employed efficiently, and the warehousing and distribution activities are performed safety, accurately and in accordance with customer requirements. The Operations Manager directs the day to day warehousing and distribution of the DC to ensure service and financial targets are consistently met.

As the Operations Manager, you will:

Manage Day to Day operations, and associated duties, using experience and organisation to ensure there are adequate resources to meet agreed objectives.

Develop and implement effective systems and policies to ensure that high quality service can be consistently achieved.

Assist in the planning and implementation of operational projects with the intention of minimising impact on DIFOT.

Ensure that all processes and procedures are fully developed, clearly written and adhered to by facility operatives.

Plan operational initiatives in conjunction with Senior Manager - National Healthcare to improve profitability and/or productivity.

Perpetuate a positive, proactive, team-based culture with a focus on providing effective coaching and feedback.

About you

To be successful in this role, you will need:

Thorough knowledge of TGA (Therapeutic Goods Administration) Quality Systems regulations, PIC/S Code of GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices), GWP (Good Warehouse Practices), GDP (Good Documentation Practices) and appropriate ISO standards specifically ISO9001& ISO13485.

Thorough understanding of warehousing and management systems, with prior Healthcare knowledge being preferable.

As the most senior operational person on site, the ability to dissect and solve operational issues as they arise.

SAP knowledge highly desirable.

Knowledge of warehousing and distribution best practice, including manpower and equipment needs to minimise labour costs.

Warehouse Management Systems & ERP (SAP) experience.
