Legal Administration and Support Officer
Branch: Legal and Legislative Services
Division: Professional Standards and Conduct
Location: East Perth
Legal and Legislative Services provides advice to the Department on legal and legislation matters. The Branch deals with sensitive legal issues, employment matters, complaints, administrative law, legislation, insurance, and claims against the Department, including responses to the National Redress Scheme for Institutional Sexual Abuse (Redress) and civil compensation claims under state legislation.
Salary: Level 3, $86,439 - $92,795 per annum (pro-rata) (PSCA 2024)
Term: This is a twelve (12) month fixed term, full-time position commencing ASAP with possible extension (12 months).
The Role
If successful, you will provide high-level secretarial and administrative support to General Counsel and other senior Legal and Legislative Services officers. You will assist with legal processes dealt with by the sector. You will administer and monitor the Branch budget, including paying accounts, purchasing and producing monthly financial reports.

Eligibility
To work with us, you must:
- be an Australian or New Zealand citizen, permanent resident or have a valid visa with relevant work rights for the term of the appointment.
- consent to a Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check and obtain a current Screening Clearance Number issued by the Department of Education’s Screening Unit before you start.
