JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a highly motivated Investment Analyst to support the lead Portfolio Manager in the end-to-end investment lifecycle of consumer purchased debt ledgers and non performing loan portfolios. The successful candidate will play a key role in deal sourcing, underwriting, portfolio and performance management. This is an opportunity to gain deep exposure to an evolving alternative credit asset class alongside a dynamic and growing team.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

- Investment Analysis: Assist in evaluating potential investment opportunities in consumer NPLs.
- Due Diligence & Execution: Support the execution of transactions, including coordinating legal, operational, and financial due diligence. Prepare investment memoranda and support internal and external presentations. Liaise with external advisors, servicers, and originators pre and post acquisition.
- Track and analyse ongoing portfolio performance against targets.
- Assist the portfolio manager with insights and analytics used in performance reviews with third-party service providers driving timely portfolio decisioning.
- Prepare regular reporting for internal stakeholders.
- Market Research & Strategy: Conduct industry, regulatory, and macroeconomic research with a focus on consumer credit and recovery trends and strategies.

QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

- 1–3 years of experience in investment banking, private credit, restructuring, special situations, or a similar analytical role.
- Exposure to NPLs, consumer finance, structured credit, or debt recovery will be highly regarded.
- Strong financial modelling and analytical skills with attention to detail.
- Understanding of credit fundamentals and valuation techniques.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel; knowledge of SQL or Python is a plus.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, or a related field.
- Strong commercial acumen and problem-solving abilities.
- High level of initiative, self-direction, and ownership.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
- Team player with the ability to build effective relationships across functions and cultures.
