An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Credit Analyst to join a highly respected retail banking institution in Sydney, where your expertise will directly influence the financial wellbeing of customers and the success of the business. - Assess and analyse loan applications for both PAYG and self-employed applicants across personal, investment, and business purposes from multiple sales channels including direct customers, brokers, and financial planners.
- Ensure all assessments adhere strictly to established policies and procedures while maintaining the highest credit quality standards expected within the team.
- Deliver outstanding customer service by proactively communicating with internal and external partners via phone calls to discuss application progress or request additional information as needed.
- Offer thoughtful solutions when loan applications do not meet policy requirements, demonstrating empathy and commitment to positive customer outcomes.
- Comply consistently with organisational behaviours and values in every aspect of your work, upholding trustworthiness and respect at all times.
- Utilise PC literacy skills effectively by working with Microsoft Office (Excel and Word), Outlook, and NTBS (where applicable) to manage documentation accurately.
- Support ongoing improvement initiatives by providing feedback on processes and participating in training sessions designed to enhance team performance.
- Manage existing loans through variations or adjustments as required, ensuring continued compliance with lending authority guidelines.
- Balance independent decision-making with teamwork by seeking guidance when necessary while also contributing positively as an effective team member.
