ABOUT THE ROAD SAFETY COMMISSION
The Road Safety Commission leads the development, integration and implementation of state-wide road safety strategies, policies and programs to reduce the number of people killed and seriously injured on WA roads. Road trauma costs the WA community $2.27 billion each year but the social and emotional cost is immeasurable. The passionate team who makes up the Road Safety Commission work with collaboratively with all levels of government, the private and not-for-profit sectors and the community to help make every journey safe.
THE OPPORTUNITY
This is a fixed term opportunity for 12 months commencing in January 2026. Part time arrangements may be considered. Applicants assessed as suitable through this process may be used to fill similar vacancies on a fixed term or permanent basis that may arise within the next 12 months.
This role manages a wide range of corporate service functions and provides an opportunity to further enhance your skills and experience in a collaborative and supportive work environment.
The key deliverables include:
- Developing and implementing workforce capability strategies.
- Coordinating human resource (HR) services and providing advice on HR matters.
- Contributing to the development and achievement of the Road Safety Commission’s business plan.
- Leading and managing projects relating to business services that support the Commission to achieve outcomes.
- Leading a small team to deliver business information and support services.
THE ROLE
To be successful in this role, you will need to demonstrate skills and experience in:
- Leading teams and promoting a collaborative working environment.
- Strategic planning and managing the implementation of business initiatives involving change management.
- Aligning systems and processes to facilitate improved performance and systems.
- Providing information and advice to senior management. Building and sustaining stakeholder relationships to achieve positive outcomes.
- Coordinating, monitoring and evaluating complex corporate projects to ensure goals and objectives are achieved.

Pay and Leave
- Employer contribution of 11.5% superannuation in addition to your salary, increasing to 12% by 1 July 2025.
- 20 days of annual leave (pro rata for part time).
- Annual leave loading payment in December of each year.
- 13 weeks (pro rata) paid long service leave for every seven years of consecutive service.
- 15 days personal leave each year (pro rata for part time).
- 3 days public service holiday.
- 14 weeks paid parental leave after 12 months of continuous service.
