We currently have a Fixed term (3 months) position starting in December 2025 – with the possibility of extension and/or permanency About the Role The Child and Adolescent Health Service (CAHS) is seeking an experienced Asset Manager to join our Facilities Management team and lead the effective planning, direction, and management of assets across Perth Children’s Hospital (PCH) and our community sites. Together with the broader FM Team, you will ensure our infrastructure, buildings, plant, and equipment are maintained to optimal standards and enable the delivery of safe, high-quality care to children, young people, and their families across Western Australia. Reporting to the Area Director of Facilities Management, you will lead the development and implementation of the CAHS Strategic Asset Management Plan, ensuring alignment with ISO55000 principles, best practice and compliance with legislation, Australian Standards, and organisational requirements. You will monitor performance and lifecycle of assets, to inform data-driven decisions and drive continuous improvement. Key responsibilities include: - Leading and managing asset management systems and processes, - Conducting data analysis, gap reviews, and lifecycle cost modelling to inform future replacement programs and maintenance strategies. - Developing and monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs) and facility management dashboards to support operational and strategic reporting. - Providing expert advice and insights on asset condition, utilisation, and risk to support capital planning and investment decisions. - Overseeing the accuracy and integrity of the asset management database and ensure compliance across CAHS facilities. - Partnering with the Works Management, Infrastructure, and Facilities Operations teams to ensure coordinated service delivery. - Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing asset performance, reliability, and sustainability. About our Team The Facilities Management Team plays a vital role in creating safe, functional, and contemporary environments that support the delivery of world-class care to children, young people, and their families. The team manages the day-to-day operations of more than 170 community sites as well as Perth Children’s Hospital and our Neonatology satellite unit at King Edward Memorial Hospital, ensuring facilities are safe, compliant, and aligned with organisational and legislative requirements. From coordinating maintenance programs and managing contractors to supporting property transitions and implementing innovative facility solutions, the team provides critical support to enable high-quality patient care.
