The Opportunity
Bring your financial expertise to a role where you’ll play a key part in supporting the University’s day-to-day financial operations and ensuring seamless integration with core financial systems. You’ll deliver accurate, timely, and reliable guidance that upholds Financial Services’ high standards and meets the diverse needs of stakeholders across the University.
Working in a collaborative, customer-focused team, you’ll take a business partnering approach, engaging with internal clients to design practical solutions that enhance operations and contribute to both operational and strategic goals. This is a fantastic opportunity to combine your technical expertise with your passion for service excellence in a dynamic and supportive environment.
You will
- Contribute to the design, development, and configuration of ERP (TechnologyOne) functionality, modules and financial applications tailored to business requirements. This includes customising existing solutions, integrating with enterprise systems (HR, Student, IT, and third-party platforms) and ensuring seamless data flow to optimise performance, scalability, and user experience.
- Provide high-level support for ERP and financial systems, including software upgrades, user assistance, troubleshooting, and bug resolution. Conduct rigorous testing (functional, integration, and system-level) to ensure high availability, reliability, and optimal performance across all platforms.
- Maintain robust data governance by enforcing relevant legislation, policies, and guidelines. Support the University’s user access controls and audit requirements to uphold data integrity, security, and compliance across all ERP and financial systems.
About you
You are a strategic thinker with sharp analytical and problem-solving skills, able to translate complex business needs into practical, effective system solutions. You are committed to delivering outstanding client service, build strong relationships across the organisation, and communicate with influence. Your interpersonal skills enable you to engage stakeholders and provide meaningful user support. You are highly organised and detail-oriented, thrive in fast-paced, high-volume environments, and balance independence with collaboration to deliver accurate, high-quality outcomes on time.
You will possess
- Completion of a relevant degree with extensive experience in financial systems administration, or an equivalent combination of education and experience in a financial systems environment;
- Demonstrated high-level expertise in enterprise financial systems and understanding of finance and payroll literacy and processes; experience with MS Office (advanced Excel) and accounting software;
- Proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools (e.g., Excel, XLOne, ETL, SQL, Power BI) and in Business Process Automation and AI tools; experience with change control processes;
- Experience managing system upgrades, testing, and change control processes.
Desirable
- Relevant experience in the higher education sector.
- Knowledge and experience with TechnologyOne, the University’s enterprise finance system.
