Customer Service Officer

Overview
ARC (The Australian Reinforcing Company), is currently seeking a Customer Service Officer to join our tight-knit team at our Toowoomba Branch. You’ll work closely with our sales, operations, and leadership teams to deliver an exceptional customer experience. You will play a critical role in ensuring smooth communication between our internal teams and valued customers. This is a permanent role, working 8 am 4 pm, Monday-to-Thursday (7 am to 3 pm Friday).
Key Responsibilities
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships through excellent service and regular onsite visits.
- Process and manage customer orders, quotes, cash sales, and enquiries via phone, email, online, and in-person.
- Handle over-the-counter sales, including early morning customer pick-ups.
- Work with the sales team to maximise opportunities and support market performance.
- Maintain pricing information and ensure accurate order processing.
- Assist with dispatch, invoicing, and general administrative tasks.
- Ensure clear communication between customers, sales and operations teams.
You’re an enthusiastic and tenacious team player who loves helping customers, solving problems, and keeping things running smoothly.
Qualifications
- Experience in customer service, retail sales, or sales administration; background in construction or manufacturing is a plus.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, able to build rapport with customers and stakeholders.
- Strong multitasking, time management, and attention to detail.
- Proactive, self-motivated, and positive, with a willingness to learn and work as part of a team.
- Skilled in value-based selling and working with customers face to face and over the phone.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office; SAP or CRM knowledge is an advantage.
- Safety-focused and committed to a collaborative team environment.
