In Australia we own and manage the Sunrise Dam Gold Mine and the Tropicana Gold Mine (70% AGA owned, 30% Regis Resources). These are two of Western Australia’s premier gold operations, with ongoing investment and exploration across both open pit and underground operations.

We are currently seeking a Compliance Coordinator to join our Maintenance and Engineering team at the Sunrise Dam Gold Mine. Accountable to the Superintendent: Engineering, this role is based at our Sunrise Dam Gold Mine on a 4‑days‑on, 3‑days‑off or an 8‑days‑on, 6‑days‑off FIFO roster, where we offer a quick commute and direct flights to our sites from Perth and Kalgoorlie.

Role Purpose

The scope of this role is to ensure that all classified plant is maintained in accordance with the Australian Standards, the Mine Safety and Inspection Act 1994, and the Mine Safety and Inspection Regulations 1995, as well as coordinating the corrective actions and recommendations resulting from internal and external reviews.

Accountabilities

- Manage “Registerable” and “Duty of Care” pressure equipment, cranes & hoists with respect to plant inspection process, records, and reporting

- Oversee compliance change for the site during the current transitional period due to the introduction of new regulations

- Manage fire system inspection processes, records, and reporting for the site to ensure compliance with relevant standards and legislation

- Engage and expedite suppliers and contractors for provision of goods and services to meet compliance requirements

- Plan and coordinate work in conjunction with other maintenance & processing departments

- Raise and plan work orders in the site CMMS (SAP) for execution of compliance work

- Ensure work is planned for execution in accordance with the work management process and site safety requirements

- Audit and review contractor statutory maintenance practices and records both surface & underground

- Compile and maintain detailed hard‑copy and electronic inspection records

- Review and verify relevant documentation related to plant and equipment to ensure compliance with relevant standards and legislation

- Manage rectification of non‑conformance issues related to plant and equipment

- Audit and review plant statutory maintenance practices and records

- Provide technical support and advice related to compliance matters

About You

- Prior experience within the mining industry in either surface or underground fixed‑plant equipment – maintenance planning and/or supervisory experience will be highly regarded but is not essential.

- Experience with managing registerable plant compliance will be highly regarded.

- Understanding of Australian Standards and transitional arrangements from Mines Safety Inspection Regulations 1995 to Work Health and Safety Regulations 2022.

- Trade or engineering qualifications.

- Experience with CMMS and work‑management systems, with preference for SAP.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Microsoft Projects.

- Effective and continued communication skills and time management to ensure timelines are achieved.

- The ability to engage with and manage contract labour to safely complete tasks.

- A current National Police Clearance.

- Existing and ongoing permanent work rights in Australia.
