Job Description

An Apprentice Horticulturist (Turf) will undertake on‑the‑job learning with BGPA’s operational teams, managing turf areas at Kings Park while studying a Certificate III in Sports Turf Management through a nominated RTO.

Key responsibilities include:

- Managing and maintaining turf areas and parklands at Kings Park.

- Performing frequent and often strenuous physical activity in exposed environments and all weather conditions.

- Working as part of a team on all aspects of turf horticulture.

- Passing a physical and medical assessment to ensure suitability for the role.

We expect you to demonstrate Personal Leadership and positive change within the organisation.

Selection Criteria

- Successful completion of Year 10.

- Demonstrated good interpersonal and communication skills.

- Strong work ethic and willingness to undertake manual work as part of a team.

- Demonstrated interest in and knowledge of turf horticulture.

- Knowledge of and enthusiasm for Western Australian flora.
