Truck Centre WA's 2026 Apprenticeship Program intake for Apprentice Heavy Vehicle Mechanics is now open. We are looking for motivated individuals to join our busy Albany team, to take the next step towards an exciting career in the heavy automotive industry.

Completing an apprenticeship with Truck Centre WA has never been more exciting. With our strong reputation, we are proud to have developed some of the most highly skilled technicians in the industry. You will have the opportunity to not only work with the largest Truck Dealership in WA, but you will be working on some of the best products the industry has to offer with Volvo, Mack and UD Trucks.

Mentoring and Support

During your apprenticeship you will be supported through your 4-year apprenticeship journey by a dedicated apprentice master who is committed to supporting our future technicians and will provide specialist training both in a classroom environment and out in the workshop. You will also be working alongside some of the industry's most experienced trade technicians who will be able to provide you with years of knowledge and experience.

Apprentices at Truck Centre WA have access to not only work with product specific diagnostic tooling and parts, but modern workshop facilities. TCWA also offer a generous tooling loan to support you reaching your full potential with the right tools.

What We are Looking For?

  • Individuals with a strong interest in the Heavy Automotive industry
  • A demonstrated mechanical aptitude with an eagerness to learn a hands-on trade
  • A high level of self-motivation with a positive can-do attitude
  • The ability to use initiative and follow instructions
  • Reliable individuals who have strong verbal and written communication skills
  • A minimum of Year 10 qualification
