Network / NOC Technical Specialist
The Technical Specialist plays a key role in ensuring the performance, availability, and reliability of the core transmission network. Operating within a Network Operations environment, this role provides advanced technical support, oversees incident and problem management, and contributes to maintaining exceptional service quality through effective collaboration with vendors, service providers, and internal engineering teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Resolve complex transmission faults and lead major incident escalations to minimise network and customer impact.
- Lead problem management activities, including root cause analysis, corrective action planning, and coordination with suppliers and vendors.
- Support network expansion, upgrades, and new technology integration by reviewing designs and ensuring alignment with operational standards.
- Analyse network performance data, drive automation and service improvement initiatives, and enhance alarm and event management processes.
- Mentor team members, manage technical training and access certifications, and contribute to continuous improvement and operational excellence.
Required Skills & Experience
- Strong hands‑on NOC or Network operations experience
- Transmission (Carrier Ethernet, DWDM)
- IP Networking and Security services
- Fault management, monitoring, and escalation handling
- Operational support, network health, and incident resolution
