What’sthe Role?

An office-based role with room to grow, tackle exciting challenges, andmake a real impact on the heartbeat of Novatech. Reporting to the Director ofOperations, People & Performance, you’ll be at the centre of keeping ourpeople thriving, managing everything all while building a culture that’sinclusive, bold, and relentlessly excellent.

What You’ll Be Doing

- Lead the People & Culture Department’s administrative functions across the full employee lifecycle, maintaining accurate, compliant, and up-to-date records.

- Drive recruitment, onboarding, and induction processes, including consulting with hiring managers, creating job materials, conducting interviews, preparing contracts, and welcoming new starters.

- Update People & Culture documents, policies, and procedures as required to keep everything current, compliant, and fit for purpose.

- Provide advice and guidance to other departments on all P&C matters, including Employee Relations under the EBA and FWA, ensuring fair, efficient, and compliant resolution of workplace issues.

- Manage Workcover and Return to Work matters, liaising with external workplace relations advisors to ensure compliance and smooth resolution in the workplace.

- Coordinate all staff communications with clarity, ensuring everyone is informed, connected, and engaged on organisational changes.

- Organise meetings, preparing agendas, and taking accurate minutes to ensure nothing slips through the cracks.

Our ideal candidate will have the following:

- Hands‑on experience in HR, People & Culture, or related roles, with a solid understanding of recruitment, onboarding, employee lifecycle administration, and the ability to provide advice on People & Culture matters.

- Strong knowledge of workplace legislation, EBA, and Awards with the ability to navigate sensitive matters professionally and confidently.

- Exceptional organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks, deadlines, and stakeholders, because wearing many hats is part of the game.

- Excellent communication skills, capable of building relationships, influencing outcomes, and keeping everyone in the loop.

- A proactive mindset, eager to suggest improvements, refine processes, and contribute to building an inclusive and positive workplace culture.

- A collaborative spirit with a sense of humour, because work should be fun, even when it’s serious business.

- Demonstrate strong attention to detail, maintaining accuracy and a methodical approach to your work.
