Council of the City of Sydney, Australia Northcott Full time

Every shift counts—bring your compassion to work.

Are you passionate about helping people live their best lives? Our Roselands Day Program & Respite is looking for motivated, compassionate casual Support Workers who thrive in dynamic settings and want to make a meaningful impact every day.

About Northcott:

At Northcott, we believe everyone deserves the opportunity to live life their way. As a not-for-profit disability service provider, we support people with disability to explore possibilities, achieve goals, and live the life they choose.

With more than 90 years of experience and a strong presence across NSW, QLD and the ACT, Northcott is one of Australia’s largest and most trusted disability service organisations. Every year, we provide people with a disability, along with their families and carers, with personalised and empowering support.

We are a registered NDIS provider employing more than 3,000 dedicated staff across metropolitan and regional locations.

Before applying for a role at Northcott, we encourage you to visit our website to learn more about our mission to ensure our values and culture are a good fit for you: Our Story.

What I Will Be Doing:

As a Support Worker in a day program and respite setting, I will empower customers to live as independently and confidently as possible, supporting them in developing daily living skills, maintaining their health and well‑being, and staying actively connected to their community.

- I will support customers in day‑to‑day life, including personal care and health needs.
- I will facilitate engaging group activities – art, music, swimming, gardening, or drama.
- I will build strong, respectful relationships with customers and their families.
- I will be working with people with intellectual disability, high physical support needs, or complex behaviours.
- I will use my skills in manual handling, PEG feeding, administering medication and providing transport.
- I am flexible to work on a rotating roster, preferably from 9:00 am – 6:00 pm, weekdays and days/nights on weekends.

As a Northcott Support Worker, you’ll provide personalised, meaningful support to customers in a day program or respite setting. No two days are ever the same — one day, you could be leading a creative art session, and the next, you are helping with daily living tasks to support independence and well‑being.

At Northcott, we prioritise your well‑being and success. Our team enjoys a wide range of benefits designed to support work‑life balance, financial well‑being, and personal growth:

- 5 Weeks Annual Leave – Enjoy extra time off to rest, recharge, and maintain a healthy work‑life balance.
- Salary Packaging – Boost your take‑home pay with salary packaging options, including up to $15,900 for general expenses and $2,650 for meals and entertainment.
- Perkbox – Access everyday savings, exclusive discounts, and wellbeing tools — our way of supporting you beyond your pay.
- Exclusive Discounts & Benefits – Save on health insurance, gym memberships, motor services, and more.
- Family‑Friendly Workplace – Enjoy flexibility and support to help you balance your work and home life.
- Learning & Career Growth – Access ongoing training, development, and career advancement opportunities where your contribution is recognised and valued.

When applying internally, Northcott employees are required to notify their Manager and should be aware that their Manager may be asked to endorse their application.

Northcott will review candidates throughout the recruitment process, likely before the close date and you will be advised of an outcome. For general enquiries about the role you are applying for, please email [email protected].
