Overview
An exciting opportunity for an experienced Project Expeditor to join the Blue Water Shipping team in our Brisbane office. Reporting to the Project Manager, your focus will be on facilitating the timely flow of materials or products between the Supplier and Project Client. This position has the potential for professional growth and development as our business continues to succeed.
Responsibilities
- Engaging communication with the supplier of goods to timely and efficiently commence expediting process of newly raised client POs
- Updating PO/material supply due date (SDD) using client's /BWS' expediting platform
- Monitoring readiness of orders in compliance with BWS' and Project's guidelines, also to ensure that the 'Required on site' (ROS) date is met
- Keeping expediting records up to date and in compliance with BWS' and Project's guidelines
- Identifying and communicating order delays to mitigate potential Project challenges
- Resolving delays to meet critical Project deadlines
- Ensuring that correct order documentation is issued by the vendor upon the order release
- Arranging collections of orders ready to ship and monitoring orders arrival at BWS' depot
- Managing and resolving OS&Ds in timely manner
- Preparing expediting and OS&D reports using BWS' and customer's software
- Monitoring and meeting Project's KPIs
- Working closely with the remainder of the Project team to ensure uninterrupted and efficient movement of inbound and outbound Project material
- Regularly updating Project Management on project progress and challenges
- Continuously looking for improvement opportunities to enhance efficiency of the client's supply chain and BWS' 3PL process
To be successful in this role, you'll need
- 5+ years International Logistics experience
- Experience in CargoWise & CargoWise reporting
- SAP experience is beneficial
- Complete understanding of BWS values
- English spoken and written – CEFR Level 5
- Data compiling and processing skills through Excel
- Intermediate IT - Word, Excel, Outlook and SharePoint
- Must be able to gain and maintain a Criminal History clearance
- Must have the right to live and work in Australia
