Job scope:
We are currently recruiting for a Buyer/Expeditor to join our team based at our Pinkenba office. This role is a maternity leave cover role for 1 year with a possible opportunity of being extended or placed in a Full Time position. The purpose of this role is to provide specialist procurement and logistics support to ensure timely and cost-effective supply of goods and services to Australian business.

How will you help us achieve this:

- Raising purchase orders using Epicor ERP system
- Confirming purchase orders with vendors
- Expediting Orders including direct engagement with vendors to develop solutions that meet order requirements.
- Obtaining supplier QA documentation as required
- Provide logistics support. E.g. Obtaining shipping and logistics quotes, liaising with vendors for shipping documentation, arranging freight movements, creating purchase orders for freight, and matching to invoices.
- Resolving invoice discrepancies
- Provide coverage and support to other procurement team members as required.

What you bring:

- Good background and experience in procurement, purchasing and expediting.
- Experience in use of ERP systems for purchasing.
- Experience with arranging logistics (international freight experience an advantage)
- Must be willing to contact suppliers directly and engage to provide solutions and deliver on-time.
- Experience working in project environment preferred.
- Experience with reporting software
- Intermediate excel and Power BI experience an advantage
- Tertiary or industry qualifications in procurement or logistics an advantage
