About the role

As a Financial Accountant, you’ll provide accurate, timelyfinancial reporting and analysis to support decision-making at the highestlevels of the organisation. Reporting to the Head of Financial Reporting, keyresponsibilities include:

- Manage the complete month-end process, including thepreparation of journals and management of key reconciliations
- Preparing accurate internal and external reports, includingAPRA, ATO and Group Reporting obligations
- Completing allocated monthly general ledger reconciliations
- Assisting the Head of Financial Reporting and CFO withprojects and ad hoc tasks
- Assisting with budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis
- Identifying and implementing process improvements tostrengthen reporting efficiency and accuracy

All about you

We are seeking someone with the followingexperience/qualifications:

- Proven experience in financial accounting, ideally withinbanking or financial services
- Strong knowledge of financial reporting standards,compliance and regulatory requirements (e.g. APRA, ATO)
- Experience with tax (e.g. PAYG,Payroll tax, BAS etc) would be highly regarded
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail
- High attention to detail, paired with strong organisationaland problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication skills to explain to finance andnon-finance stakeholders
