Accounts Payable Officer

Full-time | Permanent | Based in the office, 5 days per week

I'm currently partnering with a fantastic organisation in the construction industry that is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Accounts Payable Officer to join their Finance team.

This award-winning builder employs over 650 staff across Australia and New Zealand, delivering projects valued from $50 million to $900 million. With a strong history in building stadiums, securing over $300 million in recent work, and major projects ahead of the Olympics, it's an exciting time to join this business.

Key Responsibilities

1. Proactively promote company safety, environment, and quality policies in compliance with OH&S legislative requirements.

2. Accurately enter supplier invoices.

3. Code and match supplier invoices to purchase orders and goods receipt notices.

4. Ensure all invoices are approved by delegated authority.

5. Maintain supplier and subcontractor records in COINS, including verification procedures.

6. Process subcontractor payment vouchers, ensuring insurances and ABN registrations are valid.

7. Distribute unpaid subcontractor voucher lists and insurance expiry reminders.

8. Prepare weekly EFT payments through CommBiz.

9. Release remittance advices and Recipient Created Tax Invoices.

10. Reconcile supplier statements to ensure all payments are accounted for.

11. Run aged ledger reports monthly, following up on credits and unpaid vouchers.

12. Support the Group Finance team and AP team members.

13. Communicate with external parties and internal stakeholders.

14. Manage filing, incoming mail, and other finance admin tasks as required.

About You

1. Strong accounts payable experience in a fast-paced environment.

2. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

3. Experience with finance systems.

4. High attention to detail and ability to manage competing deadlines.

5. A collaborative team player who enjoys working in-office (5 days per week).

Casual Loading
