We're looking for someone to join our high performing team as a Senior AP Officer. This role will be reporting to the AP Team Leader.About the Role
We have an exciting full-time, permanent opportunity to join our supportive and collaborative team at our head office in South Brisbane on a Monday to Friday (between 8AM to 5PM) basis. Working as a Senior member of the Accounts Payable team, focusing on the Compounding division to begin and supporting the AP Team Leader, you will be responsible for end-to-end accounts payable processes, including high volume, accurate invoice processing and monitoring of expenditures, payments, and reconciliations. The Senior AP Officer also supports ongoing projects across Icon's various entities and provides ongoing support for AP officers in the team.

Key Responsibilities:

- Process a high volume of invoices both PO and non-PO, across multiple business entities within agreed timeframes
- Ensure compliance with company policies, tax regulations and contractual obligations
- Support financial operations across multiple business entities
- Prepare and process general journals for inter entity charges
- Raise sales invoices for charges to inter entity and external entities
- Prepare and Process weekly, monthly and ad-hoc payment runs.
- Review and process staff expenses.
- Remittance advices to suppliers with payment.
- Reconcile and resolve discrepancies on all supplier statements.
- Ad-hoc finance and administration tasks.
- Provide expertise and guidance for junior and general AP officers.
- Collaborate with internal departments and vendors and support operational and compliance requirements.

About You
We're looking for a proactive and detail-oriented senior accounting professional with strong experience in high-volume accounts payable environments. The ideal candidate will bring over five years of AP experience, excellent communication skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, multinational shared services setting.

Skills & Experience:

- Tertiary Qualifications in the accounting field and/or demonstrated skills/experience in Accounts Payable.
- 5+ years' experience in a similar role
- Intermediate computing skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage and prioritise high workloads with conflicting priorities and deadlines.
- High accuracy and attention to detail.
- Demonstrated ability to drive process improvement and best practice initiatives
