About the team
Health Information Services (HIS) at the Women's covers a range of services including Electronic Medical Record (EMR) support, clinical coding, statutory reporting and data integrity, medical enquiries/release of information (ROI) requests, and the retrieval of historic medical records for research.
About the role
As a Data Integrity Officer, you will play a key role in strengthening data quality across The Women’s Hospital. This role is responsible for designing and delivering training programs, supporting statutory reporting requirements, and conducting audits that inform process improvements.
A regular day will see you:
- Designing, delivering, and maintaining training sessions and resources for system users.
- Supporting mandatory reporting requirements, including oversight of the Victorian Admitted Episodes Dataset (VAED).
- Conducting audits to monitor data quality and using insights to tailor training and optimise processes.
- Collaborating with EMR, BI, and HIS teams to troubleshoot issues, improve workflows, and maintain data integrity.
About you
You’ll bring with you:
- Experience with Patient Administration Systems (PAS) and Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems, such as iPM and Epic.
- Demonstrated success in designing and delivering training, using strong communication skills and initiative to engage multidisciplinary cohorts.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and drive quality improvements.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Teams).
