Position title: Senior Data Management Officer

About the role

This permanent, full-time role will assist in the development, planning and management of systems, processes and controls to monitor and ensure the reliability, integrity and availability of departmental data and information. The position will plan activities to remediate and report data quality issues, including recommending modifications, enhancements and improvements to ensure compliance with departmental standards.

Eligibility: To be eligible for appointment to permanent positions in the WA Public Sector you must be an Australian citizen or have permanent resident status in Australia.

Responsibilities

- Assist in the development, planning and management of systems, processes and controls for data reliability, integrity and availability.
- Plan activities to remediate and report data quality issues and recommend modifications to meet departmental standards.
- Contribute to data governance and information management initiatives as part of the Knowledge, Information and Technology unit.

Qualifications and criteria

- Well-developed technical and analytical skills with demonstrated experience analyzing data quality issues to improve data quality for an organisation.
- Demonstrated knowledge of current and emerging trends and practices in data management.
