Geospatial Data Consultant
Location: Cambridge, UK (Hybrid working model)

Overview
We are looking for people who are collaborative, smart and innovative and who care about learning and continuous improvement. You will be a self-motivated problem solver with good communication skills, working with our customers to help solve data-centric problems using GIS, databases and 1Spatial technologies.
The role will be varied and interesting with an opportunity to work with data from different industries in both spatial and non-spatial formats. There will be an opportunity and requirement for travel to customer locations and events throughout the UK.
Responsibilities
- Work with a team delivering customer-focused projects and contribute to the development of 1Spatial products and solutions.
- Engage confidently with customers to understand requirements and present solutions.
- Utilise 1Spatial’s rules-based solutions, third-party products (e.g., FME from Safe Software, ESRI ArcGIS, VertiGIS) and open-source tools (e.g., QGIS, PostGIS) to deliver data management and automation solutions.
- Collaborate with the sales team to identify opportunities, construct demonstrations and deliver presentations to win business.
- Travel to customer locations and events as required.
Qualifications
- A degree in Geographical or Data Science, or equivalent practical experience.
- A pragmatic problem-solving approach with strong customer engagement, analytical abilities and attention to detail.
- A genuine enthusiasm for learning and hands-on experience.
- Familiarity with spatial technologies and data, particularly with tools like ESRI, Safe FME, or VertiGIS.
- Experience with programming or data processing languages such as Python, R, and SQL is a plus.
- Willingness to undergo Baseline security clearance (BPSS) and a Counter Terrorist Check (CTC) for employment purposes; candidates with existing clearance may be considered for remote roles.
