WHO YOU’LL BE WORKING WITH...
Our Host Employer is a leading telecommunications provider that has been operating for over 35 years. They deliver a full suite of services including traditional and hosted telephone systems, data cabling, IT support, and network solutions. As a one-stop-shop for all things telecom, they pride themselves on their professionalism, strong customer relationships, and getting the job done right – on time, every time.
They’re now on the lookout for a motivated and reliable Telecommunications Apprentice to join their experienced team and learn the ropes from the ground up
WHAT YOU’LL NEED...
- Team-focused attitude with a proactive approach
- Physically fit and ready to handle tasks like digging, hauling cables, and cleaning up
- Good communication and problem-solving skills
WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING...
Working full-time Monday to Friday, 7:00am–3:06pm, your duties will include (but not be limited to):
- Installing optical fibre and copper cabling for phone and data networks
- Working in a 2-person team to lay cables and install pathways for various clients
- Travelling to multiple work sites including schools, universities, and commercial premises
- Maintaining a smoke-free and professional environment
- Supporting experienced technicians with hands-on installations and maintenance
- Learning all aspects of telecommunications cabling from the ground up
As part of this apprenticeship, you will be PAID to study a Certificate III in Telecommunications Technology through on-the-job and mixed-mode training, including online course work and in-person workshops.
