GEM Switchboards is a locally owned and operated electrical manufacturing company. The GEM team have been producing quality, low voltage switchboards for over 60 years for the commercial, industrial and telecommunication sectors.

We offer full turnkey solutions to our clients from design, manufacturing through to onsite commissioning. Our people are the key to our success with many of our staff working in the business for decades and progressing through from apprentices to either workshop leading hands or to project management / engineering roles.

About the Role

GEM is looking for a motivated and reliable full-time Electrical Fitter to join our busy Workshop in West Gosford. You'll work as part of a skilled team, building high-quality electrical switchboards and control panels for a range of clients.

Qualifications & experience

• Electrical trade qualified (Fitter or Mechanic)
• Experience as an Electrical Trade Assembler
• Previous work in Electrical Switchboard Manufacturing
• Busbar experience (advantageous but not essential)

Tasks & responsibilities

• Interpret general arrangement drawings
• Interpret single line diagrams, wiring and control schematics
• Assembly, fit-out switchboards and control panels
